ABOUT PRIME TIME VBC:
PRIME TIME VOLLEYBALL CLUB was established in December 1995 primarily due to the efforts of Brenda Winkeler and Sandy (Scholtens) Hamilton. Brenda, a former player at Millikin University, former head coach at Parkland College and current head coach at Southern IL Unviersity along with Sandy, a former University of Illinois player, former head volleyball coach at both Monticello and Urbana High Schools and also a former assistant coach at Parkland College.
In the initial year, their membership included one-hundred and one players (101) and five (5) coaches. They had 22--18 & unders, 26--16 & unders, and 53--14 & unders which was big numbers for a first year club!
After Sandy moved from the area and Brenda went on to successfully coach Division I Women's Volleyball, the club was handed down to various people before being taken over in 2005 by current club directors Cliff Hastings (High School Division) and Colleen Madera (Jr High/Middle School and Younger Division). Both have continued to work hard to make Prime Time Volleyball one of the more successful volleyball clubs in Central Illinois, focusing on developing the girls' personal and team accomplishments on, and off, the volleyball court.
